Last year (2021), in the midst of the confinement imposed on us by the pandemic, we decided to make one of our children’s dreams come true: by designing and building a tree house.

With the children's safety and the durability of the materials as its main design premises, we looked to Carmo Wood, to purchase the wood and steel fittings, because of the acknowledged quality of their materials.

More specifically, we went to their shop in Pegões, where they provided excellent service and very important help in choosing the materials for each phase of construction and made suggestions on the structure, which greatly contributed to a good result.

In 2019, I resorted to Carmo for the trellising of the Salgadinha and Aranha vineyards in Borba, using wooden end post headers and steel line posts.

In 2021, the Palacio de Villachica Group planted 25 ha of vineyards between D.O Toro and D.O Ribera del Duero. The work was highly problematic due to the rocky and very hard soil, especially in the Ribera del Duero area. However, the specialised team that undertook the assembly and installation of the vine trellising system took great pains in this aspect and successfully carried out the structure’s installation.

We have continued to work with Carmo over the years due to the quality of the products they sell and the range they offer. Whether as a structural solution or a finish material, wood has been an inspiration in resolving several of our projects over the last few years.
